SQUIRE - MICHAEL 30th March 1937 - 21st May 2012
Whilst Michael's love and gentle dignity were a constant source of strength, I owe such a debt of gratitude to so many people. They helped me maintain my sanity and sense of humour during Michael's struggle and eventual death through Dementia / Alzheimer's. After diagnosis and advice at Bodnant Clinic, it was Social Services; Alzheimer's Society; Llys Elian; Carer's Outreach; P.S.S and Clwb yr Efail that helped us adjust to our new situation. As the illness progressed to its ultimate conclusion, support from Llys Meddig Surgery; Sylvia at Cross Roads; District Nurses and the Llandudno Team of Calon Lan providing nursing and caring skills enabling me to keep Michael at home to the very end. Finally, our friends at High Notes and Llandudno Allotment Society whose support was constant. The love of our family and friends all over the world managed to keep me smiling through my tears and especially Karen whose love surpassed every boundary. As Michael's widow, Sylvia, and on behalf of us both, I thank you all.
