Venue Cymru is situated on the coast of undoubtedly one of the most beautiful settings within the British Isles. The site is located on the long crescent promenade of Llandudno. Famous for its award winning golden sands, wide shopping streets and family attractions.

Venue Cymru houses multiple performance spaces, here is some information about what to expect from each space.

ON SITE

Venue Cymru Auditorium

Venue Cymru's proscenium arch theatre seats 1450. Built in 1992 the design was heavily influenced by the Welsh National Opera, whose large scale productions are performed here twice a year.

The auditorium has an area of flat seating infront of the stage and then a section of raised seating from row H onwards. Lifts to all floors.

Venue Cymru Arena

This 1550 sq metre, multi purpose space is located in the conference wing of Venue Cymru and since its opening in 2006 has played host to political conferences, banquets, exhibitions and some amazing live concerts.

For live performances the format can vary. The stage is built to the requirement of the visiting company and this determines the audience capacity. At capacity a standing gig can hold 2,500 people, seated concerts vary using a mixture of tiered and flat floor seating.

Venue Cymru Hall

Another multi purpose space located on the 1st floor of Venue Cymru's conference wing. This is regularly used for comedy events, lectures and more intimate concerts.

Format can vary from cabaret style seating, theatre style (with and without tiering) and standing concerts.

Orme Suite

Venue Cymru's largest bar area hosts monthly comedy events, with a capacity of 200 people.

Our on site restaurant boasts stunning views over the bay of Llandudno and a great lunchtime and pre-show menu (click here for details). The restaurant is also the location for our monthly coffee time concerts by our resident ensemble, Ensemble Cymru. OFF SITE

Theatr Colwyn

Theatr Colwyn, Venue Cymru's sister venue, is a 10-15 drive from Llandudno. Built in the 1880's this 300 seat theatre is the UK's oldest working cinema and Wales' oldest working theatre and now hosts a mixture of live performances, cinema and community work.
