One of Britain’s best kept R n’ B secrets will bring it all back home to Llandudno next week.

Mochdre's Radio Two darling Cherry Lee Mewis, now based in Bedfordshire, will head to 3rd Space at The Great Orme Brewery for a homecoming showcase of her immense talent.

Honing her craft in North Wales pubs, the blues superfan has played to Morgan Freeman at his blues club in Mississippi and has appeared on 2007's BBC Children In Need Concert at Eirias Park alongside Jamelia and Ronan Keating.

Mewis has also recorded a live session at Maida Vale for BBC Radio 2, recording at Abbey Road studios for her feature track on Bernie Marsden from Whitesnakes' solo album, performing at The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville.

Moving silkily between Southern soul, Memphis blues, Americana and folksy tones to something altogether more sultry at times, Mewis’ rising star owes much to her dynamic sound and her masterful fusion of a wide array of influences.

The self described “pint sized power house” singer-songwriter, who together with her band including co-writer guitarist Max Milligan, produces a unique sound which is showcased on this year’s, and her sixth, album Voyage

Don’t miss out on seeing Mewis homecoming on Saturday, April 7.

Tickets are £10 in advance from http://3rdspace.wales/ and £12 on the door.
