One of the world’s best loved albums will be celebrated in its entirety with note-perfect recreation in Llandudno next week.

The drama and unforgettable harmonies of the iconic Rumours, which turned 41 in February, will be brought to life by tribute act Rumours of Fleetwood Mac at Venue Cymru on Friday, May 11.

A revisit of Rumours couldn’t be more timely. Not only is it celebrating this soft-rock masterpiece’s amazing longevity, but for fans, it might even soften the blow of the recent departure of Lindsey Buckingham from this year’s Fleetwood Mac tour.

While it is a tall order to expect anyone to fully recreate the tempestuous – yet mesmerising – chemistry of Stevie Nicks and Buckingham, Rumours of Fleetwood Mac have been personally endorsed by Fleetwood Mac founding member Mick Fleetwood.

Encompassing nearly five decades of legendary music and channelling the spirit of Fleetwood Mac at their very best, Rumours of Fleetwood Mac offers a unique opportunity for seasoned fans – and even the successive generations of new listeners – to enjoy this seminal album once again.

Expect the very best of this near perfect album, from Nicks’ Dreams and Gold Dust Woman, Buckingham’s responses in Second Hand News and Go Your Own Way, Christine McVey’s haunting Songbird and, of course, the ensemble piece that heals all wounds – The Chain.

While the band will forever be most readily associated with the 1977 release, no Fleetwood Mac experience would be complete without exploring the Peter Green years, including stomper Oh Well, the initial optimism pre-Rumours characterised by songs like Rhiannon and the often bitter fall out and excess of what came after.

One thing has always remained consistent with the band, through a variety of personnel and style pivots, and through the many disintegrating relationships immortalised on Rumours, the bad have always excelled with peerless and exquisite songwriting.

Don’t experience this unmissable show as second hand news! Head to Venue Cymru on Friday, May 11 at 7.30pm.

Tickets range from £25 to £35, and are available from venuecymru.co.uk or by calling 01492 872000.
