A duo of 24 hour party people poster boys will head the bill in a festival bringing the Hacienda back to life in Conwy Valley.

Entering it's second year, Surf Snowdonia's Electric Wave returns for two days to Dolgarrog on Saturday, July 28 and Sunday 29 featuring the talents of Happy Mondays legends Shaun Ryder and the infamous Bez.

The Electric Wave Festival will take place on the shores of Surf Snowdonia’s inland surf lagoon, with a line-up packed full of Northern Soul, reggae, ska, mod and Motown as well as a junior rave courtesy of legendary Hacienda club faithful and former Stone Roses member DJ Dave Booth.

Justin Everley, commercial director for Surf Snowdonia said:"Electric Wave is shaping up to be a brilliant weekend and we're delighted to have secured such great acts across two packed out days. Black Grape and our evening with Shaun Ryder Q&A session is going to be a particular highlight, but there's plenty going on for all kinds of music fans, from mod with the Jam to dub beats and Northern Soul."

After a recent stint on ITV's 100 Years Younger in 21 Days, Ryder is back and fitter than ever with band Black Grape and rapper Kermit - formerly of Ruthless Rap Assassins - for an unmissable opportunity to see the extent of the Madchester icon's range with a grittier sound.

As part of Ryder's stop at the festival, he will also take part in an exclusive Q&A session, which will undoubtedly be to be an eye opening glimpse into the singer's storied, and highly entertaining, career.

Former Happy Mondays bandmate Bez will be dusting off his trademark maracas to perform a Bez’s Bingo DJ set.

Adding to a who's who of indie royalty line-up are Ocean Colour Scene and The Jam's Steve Cradock, featuring original The Jam bassist Bruce Foxton.

The family festival experience will also offer a campsite located just outside the festival site, with glamping cabins also available.

Earlybird day tickets £25, and earlybird weekend tickets are £70 and are available from skiddle.com. Under 16s are entitled to free entry with a ticket holder.
