Two of the UK’s premier music promotions will unite in Rhyl for a night of dub, jungle and drum and bass next week.

It’s Colwyn Bay’s Ritual Collective and their Jungle Juice promotion vs Chester’s Bass Culture for a new series of events and a new direction for High Street venue the Late Lounge, headlined by top acts Epicentre and Jinx.

Manchester based Epicentre has built up a name in his home town as well as across the world with releases on labels such as Sub-Woofah, Deep in the Jungle Records and most recently Dub Soul Recordings.

Getting his start at the age of 13, Epicentre has been heavily influenced by 90s Hip Hop and rave culture which has undoubtedly helped shape his unique style and production.

Joining epicentre is Jinx, who since 1998 has been plying his trade of high-energy, quickfire mixing style across the globe bringing his mixes as far as Australia, as well as as becoming a mainstay of the festival scene across the UK.

Jinx’s jams can best be described as feelgood party music for the dance floor, and have earned universal acclaim for the blending of unique sampling, unmistakable incorporation of a variety of influences, from soul to hip-hop , through funk and reggae.

It has led to nominations at the We Love Jungle Awards for best breakthrough producer.

Filling out the bill are Colwyn Bay’s Ritual Collective, who have established themselves as a dominant force in jungle and and drum and base in North Wales with regular stints at Prestatyn’s Gingers Grill, and the talents of Simon Owen, aka Talisman, who has cultivated a devout following with regular Bass Culture nights at Chester’s Live Rooms.
