Prepare to be all shook up when the ultimate Elvis tribute brings a little bit of Graceland to Venue Cymru this week.

Ben Portsmouth is bringing his arresting resemblance and his remarkable tribute to the vocals of Elvis to Llandudno in his show The King is Back, guaranteed to make even the most suspicious minds believe Presley never left the building.

Portsmouth, a multi-talented musician, singer and songwriter had Elvis’s DNA in his blood from an early age. His father was something of a superfan and Portsmouth was raised on a diet of Elvis songs.

Having honed his musical talent Ben began his meteoric rise as the Elvis Tribute Artist in 2005 when he formed the Taking care of Elvis band - lucky audiences quickly realized that they in the presence of Elvis impersonator royalty.

In 2006, as the youngest entrant at the prestigious International Elvis Festival at Porthcawl, Wales, the largest of its kind in Europe, Portsmouth walked away with the best Elvis award, before representing Europe in the final of the Images of the King contest in Memphis 2010.

In August 2012, Portsmouth made history when he won the Elvis Presley Enterprises’ Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest which took place in Memphis, crowning him as the Worldwide Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist the only artist from outside the USA to ever win this prestigious title.

Portsmouth has even received the distinct honour of playing the legendary Late Night Show with David letterman, leaving the host On this night, you will see the live performance that left David Letterman at a loss for words exclaiming, “Oh my God, Oh my God!” when Ben headlined his show in February of 2013.
