The old adage that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach will be tested to its limits in Colwyn Bay.
Building on the successes of their previous shows, April In Paris and September in the
Rain, Manchester's Little Diamond Theatre Company return with the wickedly funny dark comedy The Woman Who Cooked Her Husband at Theatr Colwyn this Saturday.
Scripted by Debbie Issit, writer of the hugely popular feature film Nativity, the story finds middle aged Ken in a tryst with young, slim, attractive and a vibrant free spirit Laura - which would be perfect were it not for the fact she lacks the culnary skills of his wife Hilary.
As time passes, Kenneth mourns the loss of Sunday roasts , leading him to readily accept an invite from Hilary for a last supper, unaware of what delicacies she plans to serve.
The Woman Who Cooked Her Husband will be at Theatr Colwyn on Saturday, May 12 at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £13, with concessions, available from theatrcolwyn.co.uk or by calling 01492 872000.
