Man released on bail after A55 crash

A MAN who was arrested after an A55 crash has been released on bail.


North Wales Police confirmed the man, who had been arrested yesterday (Wednesday, March 4), has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.


The incident occurred on the eastbound carriageway near Colwyn Bay, during the early hours of this morning (Wednesday, March 3). An ambulance was called to the scene between the off-slip and on-slip on junction 21 and a female passenger was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan with minor injuries.


The road remained closed until 11.30am, whilst a detailed examination took place.

The one vehicle collision involved an Audi A4. The female passenger has since been discharged from the hospital.
 
Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact North Wales Police on 101, 0845 607 1001 (Welsh line) or 0845 607 1002 (English line).
