A PLEA to, Random, Flintshire’s very own Banksy, has fallen on deaf ears.
Organisers of the Virgin Art exhibition had appealed to the elusive artist, who goes by the name Random, to showcase his work in their upcoming exhibition in Mold.
But despite a heartfelt plea through the Leader from committee chairman Sheila Wilson he has not been in touch.
But with just over two weeks to go until the exhibitors’ deadline Sheila is not giving up hope.
She said: “We haven’t heard from him yet and we are disappointed because we just thought he might bite the bait, but we would like to give him another nudge because we have found in the past that a lot of the artists are notorious for leaving it to the last minute, so he might be one of the latecomers.”
The exhibition at St Mary’s Church in Mold is now in its third year and has featured hundreds of pieces of art from both amateur and professional artists across the region.
Exhibitors have until Monday, April 11 to enter their pieces and the event will run from May 2 until May 7. A preview will take place on Saturday, April 30.
Random first hit the headlines when his work started cropping up on buildings and objects across Deeside two years ago.
