THOUSANDS of fun-seekers flocked to Llandudno during the Bank Holiday weekend to enjoy the 25th Victorian Extravaganza.

Carnival amusements, funfair rides and colourful parades entertained the crowds, with warm weather and bright sunshine remaining throughout the event.

This year, organisers took advantage of the timing of the royal wedding, using the additional Bank Holiday on April 29 to start the festivities a day early, with rides opening on Trinity Square on Friday afternoon.

Organisers also took over an empty Mostyn Street shop to promote the Extravaganza in advance, with the intention of advertising the event to visitors during Easter.

Also taking place in Llandudno was the British Transport Festival on Bodafon Fields, which saw vintage car, truck and bike enthusiasts flock to the area to display their classic machines.
