TO CELEBRATE the launch of North Wales band The Reads' debut album Stories From The Border, The Entertainer has five copies to give away to lucky readers.

With tracks being given plenty of radio play across the North West and Wales, the well-polished folk/rock/shoegaze/electronic release is a must for music fans looking to discover new music.

When The Entertainer got its hands on the eagerly anticipated album earlier this year, it was described as a "jaw-droppingly stunning debut".

Occasionally commercial, often experimental and always innovative, the album showcases well-crafted and carefully considered tracks, achingly beautiful in their execution, performed with stunning musicianship and tight precision.

The Reads also have a series of live shows booked across the region including Night and Day in Manchester on May 27, Crewe Live Festival on May 28 and the Audlem Music Festival in Audlem on May 29.

WIN!

To be in with a chance of winning a copy of Stories From The Border, just answer the following question:

Which track on the album shares its name with the nickname for the former prison island Alcatraz?
a) Good Omens b) The Rock c) Orange Days

Put your answer on a postcard along with your full name, address and a daytime telephone number and send it to 'The Reads Competition', North Wales Pioneer, 22 Penrhyn Road, Colwyn Bay, Conwy, LL29 8LG.
The closing date is Wednesday, May 18.
