AN OFFICE worker from Wrexham is to star in the latest advert by an iconic beauty brand.

Lorraine Partyn, from Gwersyllt, was selected from thousands of women across the UK to star in a new Dove billboard campaign.

The 51-year-old will appear alongside nine other women on a 10ft-tall billboard at sites across the country.

Lorraine was randomly selected after she entered a competition at ASDA supermarket in March.

The lucky ladies were pampered to perfection at an all-expenses paid photoshoot in London with photographer Mark Curtis.

First time model Lorraine said: “It hasn’t really sunk in yet that I will be appearing on a billboard, but I’m excited and can’t wait to see if anyone recognises me and my friends and family’s reactions.”

The ‘Look your best, feel your happiest with Dove and ASDA’ campaign forms part of the brand’s global mission to help women fulfil their personal potential for beauty.

Dove customer marketing manager, Lucy Houghton, said: “Since the launch of the iconic advertising campaign featuring real women in their underwear, the Dove ads continue to resonate with women worldwide which is why it wasn’t surprising that we were inundated with thousands of entries for the competition.

“The real women in the billboards show that beauty is for everyone.

“Their smiles, laughter and confident body language prove that when you look your best, you feel your happiest.”

Victoria Philip, health and beauty marketing manager at ASDA, added: “From our research we know that our customers prefer to see real women in advertising, which is why thousands across the country jumped at the chance to star in the Dove billboard.”

The billboards will appear in selected locations across the UK from June 27.

She should tell them to shove their campaign where the sun don't shine.Dove soap is tested on animals.Hundreds of other companies produce soap that isn't tested on animals,so why can't dove do this.In fact,Lorraine should use this opportunity to bring this barbaric practice into the limelight.
