FOUR hotels put up for sale by Stephanie Booth remain on the market and are continuing to attract interest.

Administrators KPMG have quashed rumours buyers have been found for Bodidris Hall, Llandegla, and The Wild Pheasant, Bryn Howel and The Chainbridge in Llangollen but said discussions are being held with interested parties.

Estate agents Colliers International announced earlier this month they had been instructed to market the four hotels.

They all made an operating profit in the 2010-11 financial year before Llangollen Hotels Ltd and parent company Global Investment Group were placed in administration.

A spokesman for KPMG said: “We can confirm the process is still ongoing.

“Interest has been shown in the hotels and we are in discussion with interested parties.”

Offers have been invited for the properties either individually or collectively, with no asking price released.

The four hotels, which have more than 100 employees in total, are currently being run by Convivial Management.

The Chester Bridge Hotel, Chester, and The Anchor Hotel, Ruthin, are currently in the hands of landlords.

Mrs Booth has said she and husband David planned to be more involved at both venues along with McLarens wine bar and the Fantastic Fun House in Oswestry.

A spokesman for Mrs Booth confirmed the group, which forms part of her business empire, remains in administration.

- At a meeting of Mold Town Council, town manager Dave Hill  said he understood the Mold branch of the Fantastic Fun House had been scheduled to be involved in the Mold Food and Drink Festival. The children’s play facility closed along with its sister branch in Wrexham earlier this month when Global Investment Group entered administration.

Mr Hill said: “I believe they have matters in hand to address that.”

The festival is due to be held on September 24 and 25.

With the Booth stigma and the fact all these hotels are in an 80's time warp, all need gutting & a total re-vamp. Who ever takes this lot on will need very deep pockets to sort them out. Seeing how Booth treated staff and guests at the Wynnstay, I reckon this latest press release is more about keeping staff under the illusion their jobs & wages are safe beyond September.

Her son will buy the hotels

Maybe th son will try & buy if he can find a bank stupid enough to lend money. Even if he do's, he then has the Booth stigma, this will stick for ever & eventually will b th kiss of death. How long will he be able to last with nobody wanting to risk deposits for functions. A few years down the line the whole thing will hit the wall all over again with guests being kicked out of their beds like at the Wynnstay ahead of the bailiffs arrival with endless people ripped off & un-paid all over again.

Why did he(she) start moving all the good furniture out of the wynnstay weeks ago? Answer, she he (she) knew what was coming and didnt tell anyone, including staff and customers until the last minute. It stinks!

Beware, the leader puts a story up about the booth and if anyone dares to make a negative comment its removed. pathetic she knew what she was doing and she knew the place was going under when she took money off people, disgusting. and if the leader remove comments they are just as bad as him/her!

Its been the opinion of readers that the leader does remove comments it feels are agressive, and if it gets too hot they remove the story... not a real newspaper by any account really... just another company racking inas much as they can from advertizers... the truth doesn't come into it

The fact that Mrs/Miss/Ms/Mr Booth knew of the situation some weeks before hand shows that she/he has little regard for most if not all of her hard working(?) staff. Its not nice turning up for work to find you have not got a job... she did not even have the decency to tell them beforhand.

Stephanies Hotels thats a joke. The hotels are owned by th banks there hocked to. As for the son fronting another Booth take over. If that happens, a strong thumbs down down needs sending to Booth& crew2 make it clear, guests will not risk being ripped off ever again. Booth should now stick with flogging porn & her sleezy sex chat lines then leave hotels to honest hoteliers who know how to run them.

for once I agree with telephone , Booth knew exactly what was happening and has systematically ripped off people for her own gain. For those that read my posts (you never have to agree!),I mentioned months ago that she was trading insolvently. How do these shysters get away with it? Perhaps if REAL newspapers made people aware....
