ABERGELE’S weekend match at Dolgellau fell foul of the rain.

Gele have a chance to finish in the top half of the Division Two table if they pick up a win over Pontblyddyn on Saturday, with action starting at Pentre Mawr Park at 1.30pm.

Abergele Seconds also face a season defining match this weekend, going into their final match with Bethesda five points adrift at the bottom of the Division Four table.

Carmel and District picked up a 61 run win on Saturday after scoring 213 for seven, with Rick Ashby taking four for 59 and Dave Moulson claiming three for 34.

The Seconds line-up scored steadily but came up short of the total set, with Gareth Edwards (28), Neil Roberts (26) and Rajeev Metri (25) the top scorers.

They now need to beat their already relegated weekend hosts to stay up at the expense of Bersham, who host fourth placed Conwy.
