CHRISTMAS came early to Llandudno’s Copper Mine when Dancing On Ice judge Jason Gardiner launched Venue Cymru’s pantomime Aladdin.

The acerbic TV personality was joined by comedy panto regular John Evans, who struck plenty of poses with feathered dancing girls to get residents and visitors into the festive spirit.

Aladdin will run at the theatre from December 10-31 and promises to be a extravaganza of singing, dancing, comedy and stunning special effects.

Jason Gardiner said: “I would say, if you wanted to come and see a great romping panto that has everything in it, then come to Aladdin in Llandudno.”

Jason, who is best known as the ‘baddie’ judge on ITV’s Dancing On Ice and fashion expert for This Morning, is also a seasoned choreographer, dancer and performer.

Despite retiring from the stage in 2004, he will be filling the dastardly shoes of the villainous Abanazar in his panto debut, with John Evans taking to the stage as the bumbling Wishee Washee.

John said: “It’s a fantastic fight between good and evil with a glitzy Abanazar who is going to accessorise to death.”

In addition to the immersive pyrotechnics, North Wales audiences will be able to enjoy a 3D experience never seen at the theatre before.

Executive producer Jonathan Kiley, said they had added an array of amazing and unmissable visual effects.

He said: “We have developed the outstanding 3D wizardry alongside Amazing Interactives who have brought together computer animators and programmers to present a truly magnificent and unmissable pantomime experience.”

  •  Tickets for Aladdin are available from Venue Cymru Box Office on 01492 872000 or through the website at www.venuecymru.co.uk
