SEASIDE streets will be lit up in a display of colour when a team of brightly-lit bikers descends on North Wales.
Described as a “spectacle of light and sound with a carnival atmosphere” by its organiser, the GoldWing light parade will be coming to Llandudno on Saturday at 11am for a display on Llandudno Promenade followed by a light parade around the town at 7pm.
Members of the public will have the chance to speak to riders during their static display on the promenade and have their photograph taken on the bikes.
This will be the first time that the GoldWing team, who usually hold displays in Blackpool, have visited Llandudno.
Event chairman Chris Phillips said he was hopeful that the group's first display would make a lasting impression.
He said: "If it's a success, in an ideal world we'd look to make it an annual event.
“We do have another event in Scarborough, but with the Llandudno event, these would be the only two events of their kind in the country.”
He added that he was “cautiously optimistic” that more than 100 riders will turn up for the event.
