A LATE winner from Mark Montgomery earned Llandudno Junction all three points against Caernarfon Wanderers at the weekend.

After going behind to Dave Jones’ fifth minute strike, Charlie Kemp turned the tables with two goals in three first half minutes.

The Wanderers pulled level again, but Dwyfor Williams netted a 41st minute penalty to restore the lead.

Morgan Roberts again brought the Cofis back into the game, but Montgomery’s late strike took all three points for the Railwaymen.

Glan Conwy came unstuck to a late, late goal in their match, losing a bizzare match against Denbigh Town 2-1 thanks to a 97th minute winner.

Richard Orme netted a long range free-kick from close to the half-way line to give the Greens the lead on 24 minutes, but a red card for star forward Andy Booker, who was dismissed for allegedly raising his hands, turned the game on it’s head.

Mark Roberts netted an equaliser on 66 minutes, with Glan’s Ben Thomas joining Booker on the sidelines after arguing with the referee.

Gareth Davies was also sent off for a second yellow card after a 50-50 challenge with the goalkeeper, and in the seventh minute of added time Denbigh scored the winner through Elir Edwards, with Orme also dismissed for a further altercation with the official.

Penmaenmawr Phoenix also lost out at the weekend, going down 3-1 to Nantlle Vale despite a Danny WIlliams strike on the stroke of half time.

A Jake Parks double earned Rhos United a point in their weekend fixture with Abergele Dragons.

Parks drew Rhos level on the half hour mark after Lewis Moroney had given Gele the lead, and netted a second two minutes from time to rescue a point at Brookfield Drive.

Mochdre Sports meanwhile lost 4-1 to Anglesey high-flyers Trearddur Bay United in the NWCFA Intermediate Cup Quarter Finals, with Aaron Boyle netting their solitary goal.
