A LITTLE girl who shot to fame after starring in X Factor adverts has now got Britain’s Got Talent in her sights.

Six-year-old Jemima Davies has never been to dancing classes but she has still managed to cultivate a distinctive style of movement all of her own.

It seems to be her natural confidence and feisty attitude, inspired by acts like Black Eyed Peas, Usher and Diversity, which has appealed to the masses and as a result she has been featured in the Talk Talk ad-breaks on every programme since X Factor first aired in October.

And now, a local celebrity in her home town of Buckley, the Mountain Lane Primary School pupil has been asked by Britain’s Got Talent producers to come for an audition in Liverpool on Sunday.

Mum Julie, of Church Road, Buckley, said: “She’s absolutely crackers.

“She’s got her own little style and she’s so lovely with it.

“It’s brilliant to go on Twitter every week after the show and see all the lovely comments people leave, it’s just amazing.

“And she’s a proper local celebrity now, people we don’t even know come up and say hello when we go to the shops. They all love her.”

Jemima’s fame began at the tender young age of four when Julie uploaded a home movie of her dancing around the living room in her pyjamas onto video-sharing website YouTube.

The original footage, and the many more clips of Jemima’s unique talent which have appeared in the two years since, won so many hits and so much support from the public that Jemima begged her mum to send a clip made into her very own music video to the X Factor with the hope of being featured in the Talk Talk ad breaks during each programme.

She was an instant hit and now producers of Britain’s Got Talent have spotted her potential and have asked her to audition at the Liverpool heats.

Delighted by her daughter’s success, Julie is confident Jemima is staying grounded and not getting too swept up in the excitement.

“She doesn’t get nervous at all and takes it all totally in her stride. She’s got an old head on her shoulders so I don’t worry about her.

“She just said to me ‘I’m going to try my best and if I don’t get through that’s ok’.

“She’s got so much confidence for a young girl and I’m so proud of her because I was so timid when I was her age.”

Jemima plans to perform her own street dance take on Black Eyes Peas’ ‘Dirty Bit’ for her big Britain’s Got Talent performance.

Julie added: “That’s her favourite. She won’t have an exact routine planned because she freestyles but she’s been dancing to it for about a year, practising every night.

“She just wants the experience, and it’s sure to be an incredible one.”
