PANTO fever will be gripping Colwyn Bay this week when Jack and the Beanstalk comes to town.
The traditional panto will see music, dancing and plenty of laughs packed into a non-stop show for all ages.
This year will not be the first time Jack and the Beanstalk has been performed at Theatr Colwyn, with the show first performed there back in 1909 before the building was closed for renovation to install electric lights.
Following the recent extensive regeneration to the front of house, the panto is back more than 100 years later to entertain audiences.
Magic Light Productions will be presenting the show, which features fantastical creatures from Safire's Magic Light Puppets, stunning choreography from Pearl Shaw School of Performing Arts and plenty of toe-tapping tunes under the baton of musical director Garry Chilton.
The traditional family panto follows the adventures of young Jack, played by Steve Bloor, as he contends with magic beans, nasty villains and a host of colourful characters.
Featuring Dame Tilly Trott (Stuart Loughland), Fairy Blossom (Jane Loughland), Jill (Libby Edwards), Squire Crumble (Marc Whincup) and the sinister Mr Creeper (Neill Scullard); audiences will have plenty of chances to boo, hiss, cheer and laugh.
