A FIRST view of how Prestatyn’s multi-million pound shopping complex will look has been revealed.
The development has been named Prestatyn Shopping Park and fencing around the site has been covered with artists’ impressions and eye-catching graphics of the shops and the site.
Work on the development is on schedule to be completed by Spring next year.
The area, which will be home to a 75,000 sq ft Tesco supermarket and a Tesco filling station, will also cater for 10 retail units.
Marks & Spencer, River Island, New Look, Boots, Next and Costa Coffee are believed to be among retailers expected to open up outlets on the shopping park.
Prestatyn East county councillor James Davies said he has received “very positive” feedback on the development.
He said: “It serves as confirmation things are going well and we are full speed ahead. A lot of people will be looking forward to the steel work going up at this end of the month.
Cllr Davies said the hoarding designs were included in plans submitted in the summer and were aimed at making the area look tidier.
“Everything is on schedule within the matter of a week or two. The project is extremely well managed.”
Prestatyn town councillor Mike German said: “People are genuinely excited at the prospect of something new and shiny coming to the town.
“I only hope that the development improves footfall to our already established businesses.
“It’s a real change for me. People have been asking me what’s happening and I’ve not always been able to give them any answers. Now they can see for themselves.”
