A cocker spaniel which plunged 100ft off the Little Orme was returned home safe and sound thanks to the speed of Llandudno’s lifeboat crew.
Fifteen-month-old Charlie, who lives with owners John and Ann Rowlands on Aled Drive, Rhos on Sea, was rescued on Friday by the RNLI’s inshore lifeboat after a fall off the northeast corner of the Little Orme.
Charlie had been walking with Richard and Rita Williamson, neighbours and relatives of the Rowlands, when he fell off the headland after running over the edge.
Mr Williamson called the coastguard, who sent Llandudno RNLI to rescue Charlie at 3.25pm.
The dog was then taken to the slipway in Llandudno, where he was re-united with his owner.
Mr Rowlands said Charlie had suffered a cut to his lip and had been treated by the vet with anti-inflammation drugs and anti-bacterials, but was otherwise healthy.
He said: “I was relieved, obviously.
“He was very lucky.”
Both couples wished to thank the Coastguard and the RNLI .
