RE-FITTING work is taking place at a new Llandudno store set to create 25 jobs.

The Sainsbury’s Local supermarket, on the site of the former Woolworths store at 113-117 Mostyn Street, is due to open towards the end of March.

Paul Smith from Sainsbury’s convenience property team, said: “Bringing a Sainsbury’s Local to Llandudno will create jobs and deliver greater choice and value for local people.

“Our Local shops cater for the immediate community and are particularly well used by those people unable to drive further afield for their shopping.

We believe the Sainsbury’s Local store will offer many advantages to the community and nearby traders through added investment, new jobs and increased footfall.”

The 3,000 sq ft store will open from 7am until 11pm.
