Glenn Chambers' unbeaten century led Pontblyddyn to an eight-wicket success over Northop.
Chambers was the stand-out performer as his 127 not out helped Pontblyddyn to 199-2 in reply to Northop's 198-7.
Marcel Frenzel was with Chambers at the end, finishing unbeaten on 29 as the duo added impressive runs to a fine bowling performance.
Frenzel (3-33) and Chambers (3-37) kept Northop in check despite a half century from Lloyd Hayes and contributions by Darren Williams (41), Thomas Hughes (37) and Andy Poynton (27 not out).

Having won the toss and electing to bat, Quay will have been disappointed to only score 171-7, Darren Jones (60) and Burger (34) the run makers.
Burger made a long awaited return to bowling action to pick up 4-51 in Mochdre's reply, but the damage had already been done.
Will Evans (44) and Adam Campion (43) laid the foundations before Mark Williams finished off the run chase with an unbeaten 30.
Brymbo were left ruing some lower order hitting by St Asaph as they were forced to grind out a losing draw.

Hawarden Park produced a fine all-round performance to inflict an eight-wicket defeat on Pontblyddyn 2nds in Division One.
Ed Jones (37) and Lewis Davies (34) were the only scores of note as Hawarden reduced Pont to 102-9 declared, Campbell Marr (3-16), Tom Ducker (2-13), Ian Martin (2-16) and Jason Biddulph (2-33) doing the damage.
Ducker then fired 51 and Biddulph added 28 as Hawarden chased down the target needed for victory inside 13 overs.
Marchwiel and Wrexham were unable to do Hawarden Park a favour as they lost to promotion challenging Llanrwst by eight wickets.
Openers Michael Forgrave (43) and Nick Husbands (20) were the only batsmen to find life easy against the Llanrwst attack as Marchwiel were bowled out for 88, Tomos Slattery bagging 5-9.
Llanrwst then cruised to 89-2 inside 26 overs.
Chris Ellwood produced a superb batting performance to score 142 not out as Gresford clinched a winning draw with Bangor 2nds.
Ellwood's brilliant innings helped Gresford to 262-4 from just 40 overs, but despite 4-13 from John Bell and 3-22 by Sean Richards, Bangor ended their 60-over reply on 92-eight.
Pwllheli had no such trouble against Llandudno 2nds as they bowled the home side out 51 before reaching the winning total with eight wickets remaining inside 11 overs.
Halkyn's clash in Conwy was ended abruptly by the weather with the visitors on 89-4 chasing Conwy's earlier score of 181-7 declared.
