RHYL Football Club have secured an international sponsorship deal which will prove to be the biggest in the team’s history.
Malaysian manufactures, Coneli Sports, will sponsor the Lilywhites with a five-figure sum as it looks to enter the British market.
Mike Jones, General Manager at Rhyl FC, said this is the start of exciting times ahead for the club.
“This year will see us putting the foundations down for us to develop for the future,” he said.
“This is an attractive investment and it will be the biggest in the club’s history.”
Coneli Sports specialise in football and futsal equipment,sponsoring a number of teams in their own country , and are now ready to break into the European Market.
Leslie Lau , owner of Coneli, said: “We are excited about growing hand in hand with Rhyl, to provide our first entrance into the British market.
“We are pleased to sponsor them for the coming season.”
Mr Jones said the company will sponser the club’s new yellow and blue away kit, that will be launched at Airbus in a pre-season friendly next Tuesday.
Alistair Miller, international director of Rhyl FC, and a major client of Coneli said: “Many asian companies are now looking to expand overseas, and Coneli is no exception.
“The growth of industry is unbelievable in asia, and they now have the structure and capacity to expand into larger markets.
“My organisation Vikings Futsal, works closely with Coneli, and I can safely say they are an up and coming sportswear provider.”
The company said they have chose Rhyl not only for their potential, but with Vikings futsal also being involved, was an attraction.
