Llandudno has welcomed a Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) judge as part of the annual Wales in Bloom competition.

Jim Goodwin was met by members of the Llandudno in Bloom committee, Mayor of Llandudno Francis Davies and the current Miss Alice, Jessica Bowen-Roberts.

Town crier Billy Baxter was also present – in full uniform – along with Conwy County Borough council parks and recreation manager Peter Barton Price.

Mr Goodwin was then and taken on an inspection tour of the town, taking in landmark sites and including a stop at the Alice clock on the promenade.

In 2016 and 2017, the resort received gold awards and hopes are high that the standard can be maintained.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Wales In Bloom competition.

The awards ceremony will take place on Friday, September 15 in Pembrey and Burry Port.
