A volunteer celebratory event was hosted to mark Volunteers Week, a national celebration of the contributions made by volunteers.
Hosted by CVSC (Community and Voluntary Support Conwy); CCBC Wellbeing and Conwy Communities First the event saw Conwy volunteers gather to mark the national week of celebration.
Wales has more than one million volunteers, who give their time and energy to do all sorts of amazing things from coaching young people in sport, befriending older people, acting as advocates, fundraising for medical research, to saving lives.
A spokesperson for the event said: “There is no doubt Wales and also our local communities are better places thanks to these exceptional individuals who contribute so much and make a real difference.
“We had over 100 people attend this celebratory event. Volunteering Certificates were awarded on the night - 39 Volunteers’ Week - two Milleminum Volunteers – three CVSC Certificates of Gratitude, and four WCVA National Award Certificates.”
Among the winners were Laura Williams who won a WCVA Young Volunteer National Award and Creatasmile who were awarded a Volunteers’ Week certificate.
