A JESTER and wizard magical comedy duo will welcome a variety of burlesque performers from around the world to Colwyn Bay, for the fourth annual North Wales Burlesque and Cabaret Festival.

The fun kicks off on at Theatr Colwyn on Friday, January 26 for two days of bawdy, yet sophisticated, burlesque that will dazzle and entertain, while also celebrating fully inclusive art forms and humanity in all shapes and sizes.

To launch the festival, Friday will welcome back the six finalists from last year’s Seren Yn Codi/Rising Stars Burlesque semi-final - one from as far afield as Germany - for a chance to land a professionally paid slot in the main event at next year’s festival.

The evening will also feature a magical after show from hosts Erwyd the jester and Gatling the wizard that showcases a tribal belly dance troupe from Wrexham, Bonnie Boux from Ireland’s glow in the dark poi and a routine with a bouncy horse called Doris with Seedy Frills.

The jester will return on Saturday for a Voodoo themed line-up of burlesque and performance pros, including Ana Kiss performing a dark fan dance, Colwyn Bay fire dancer Kitty Von Crypt, and a last year's Seren yn Codi winner, Winnie Pelteez from Belgium.

The weekend will also feature a series of workshops for burgeoning burlesque enthusiasts to get stuck into, including a body confidence in burlesque masterclass with Norwegian performer Fifi von Tassel, who is also being followed by a documentary film crew who are making a programme on her.

The fourth annual North Wales Burlesque and Cabaret Festival will take over Theatr Colwyn at 5pm Friday, January 26 and from 10 am on Saturday 27.
