A FAMILY business has taken to social media to appeal for information after a youngster used a fake £50 in their shop.
L's Coffee & Book Shop, based at 7 High Street in the town, posted a photograph on their Facebook site and asked for the public's help in identifying, what they have termed, "a little low life".
The coffee and book shop claim the young person used a fake Irish £50 in their Conwy shop over the weekend.
L's Coffee & Book Shop have told the Pioneer the incident has been reported to the police.
Writing on Facebook and replying to comments, the business said: "People forget how many coffees we have to sell for £50, for a small family business it’s not fair. It is very hard work in the winter months.
"He ordered food, handed the note, then said he'll pop back in a minute. (He) never came back."
Anyone with information is asked to telephone North Wales Police on 101.
