One of the nation’s longest-running radio shows is coming to Bodnant Gardens.

BBC Gardeners’ Question Time will be recorded in the Pavilion tearoom at Bodnant on Tuesday, February 13 when the expert panel will answer questions on horticulture.

The panel of well-known horticulturalists - Bob Flowerdew, Mathew Briggs and Pippa Greenwood - will help residents and visitors at the sold-out event with top tips on late winter and early spring gardens.

Bodnant’s head gardener John Rippin said: “I’ve been listening in since I was a boy so it’s really exciting to be hosting this show and it’s a great start to spring here at Bodnant Garden.

“As gardeners we’re used to being asked lots of weird and wonderful questions by visitors here and I’m looking forward to putting a question of my own to the panel. Hopefully the show will inspire people to get out there and get gardening.”

Show presenter, Eric Robson, said the panel were excited about recording the show from Bodnant Gardens.

“Bodnant is a very special place - a garden on the grand scale but also blessed with attention to horticultural detail. I’m very much looking forward to having its delights as the backdrop to GQT,” he said.
