The demolition of a Llandudno fast food restaurant is likely to be given the final go ahead today (Wednesday).

Final plans to demolish McDonald’s on the Mostyn Champneys Retail Park will be presented to Conwy County Borough Council’s (CCBC) planning committee today with a recommendation in the agenda to approve the proposal.

The proposal also outlines the construction of a new two-storey McDonald’s restaurant with an improved drive through service to be constructed next to the Iceland store on the same retail park.

Other associated works will include parking and servicing facilities, an external seating area, drainage and landscaping works.

The development will lead to a reduction of 51 parking spaces within Mostyn Champneys.

Amendments were made last month to the original plans, put forward last year, to address possible flood risks.

The proposed plans are to be passed through the planning committee today, provided a number of matters have been previously addressed.
