RESIDENTS had to be evacuated from a building following a blaze in a flat in Colwyn Bay.
The incident happened today at a property in Wynnstay Road. The fire was in a kitchen, in a flat situated on the third floor of the building.
An eyewitness said: "I saw a woman being given first aid treatment for burns and an ambulance was at the scene."
Two fire engines were called to the fire, one from Colwyn Bay and one from Llandudno.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze.
A spokesperson from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said an investigation is underway to establish the cause of the fire.
A North Wales Police spokesman added: "All the residents were quickly evacuated and the road was cordoned off to traffic."
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman stated: "I can confirm we are currently in attendance at Wynnstay Road."
