TO mark St David’s Day, St David’s Hospice has organised a special fundraising concert.

The funds are to support the charity’s role in providing local palliative care services at its purpose-built hospice on Abbey Road in Llandudno.

The concert will take place on Thursday March 1, at St John’s Methodist Church, Llandudno at 7.30pm featuring Côr Meibion Colwyn and rising star, North Wales baritone, Twm Tegid.

Internationally acclaimed Côr Meibion Colwyn first formed in the 1890s and is proud of its long history.

Having performed on a number of main stages both abroad and in Wales, the choir is looking forward to celebrating St David’s Day this year on home turf in North West Wales..

Margaret Hollings, head of fundraising at St David’s Hospice said: “We are extremely proud to work with some of North Wales’s best voices to mark this very special celebration in Wales for 2018.

“The local concert will include a delectable programme of music finishing with Mae Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau to raise the roof of the church”.

Margaret added: “All monies raised from this concert will support local patients in Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey, their families and carers; who are living with advanced illnesses and need care and support in a safe, home from home environment.

“If it wasn’t for successful fundraising events such as this concert and the support of the local communities we serve coming together the hospice simply wouldn’t exist”.

Tickets are available at £10 per person.
