KINMEL Bay enhanced their Vale of Clwyd and Conwy Premier Division title claims with an emphatic 9-0 win at Machno United.
The visitors got off to the best possible start when Danny Campbell found the net after two minutes, before Ben Cawley, an own goal and Nyal Hughes all added to their tally in the first half hour of the clash.
Campbell notched his second of the afternoon on 41 minutes, and the talented forward capped off a superb performance with his hat-trick after the break on 50.
There was still time to rub further salt into the United wound, with Ashley Wood and James Jones netting in the final two minutes to complete the rout.
Rhuddlan Town boosted their Division One promotion chances thanks to a 5-1 home victory over Denbigh Development, with Jay Whitehouse (2), Jordan Belham, Matthew Beech and Callum Roberts scoring, while a brace from Jack Williams was the highlight of leaders’ Llandudno Athletic’s 5-1 rout over Llysfaen.
In-form striker Matthew Williams’ effort on 82 minutes was enough to rescue a point for Llandyrnog United in their 2-2 stalemate at St Asaph City Youth.
Llansannan had goals from Geraint Jones, Euros Lloyd, Gruff Roberts, Ifan Batty and Dafydd Owen to thank for their 5-1 Premier Cup second round triumph at Old Colwyn, and Llanfairfechan Town also booked their place in the third-round courtesy of a 2-1 win over Y Glannau.
There were a host of sides that advance to the Progress School of Motoring Presidents Cup second round, with Llandudno Amateurs, Rhos United, Bro Cernyw and Rhyl Rovers all booking their place in the hat.
