While and Englishman, an Irishman and a Canadian might not sound like a particularly strong setup for a joke, Llandudno will have the best craic this St Patrick’s day.

3rd Space at Conwy brewery will welcome performers from across the sea - and St Helens - for an especially gleeful Gaelic celebration of good comedy on Saturday, March 17.

The evening’s proceedings will be overseen by Canadian compere David Tsonos, who despite the special date will no doubt bring the topic of conversation back to tales of his cat - and the destruction of any hecklers who have other ideas.

Joining Tsonos is the Irish/Italian/Englishman, Ian Cognito who serves up massive portions of anger and self-doubt into his hilariously vitriolic brand of outspoken, and opinionated humour. Think a more continental Dylan Moran arguing with himself while impersonating an English man.

Providing the yin to Cognito’s yang is affable, quick-witted banter merchant, Dave Twentyman survived a childhood in St Helens by evolving rapid, startlingly-bright patter and a show stealing smile.

As part of the St Patrick’s celebrations, 3rd Space will also warm up their pop up kitchen for some appropriately themed Irish Stew and Guinness Pie.

The St Patrick’s Day comedy special will be at 3rd Space @ the Great Orme Brewery from 6pm on Saturday, March 17.

Tickets are £10 and are available from http://3rdspace.wales.
