A STORY-crammed evening of Happy Valley memories and music to raise will ring out on Llandudno Promenade next weekend.
The daughter of the late Llandudno entertainer Alex Munro will be telling stories and singing songs from the good old days at a fundraising event for the Oriel Mostyn gallery at The Imperial Hotel.
Anna-Marie Munro, of Craig-y-Don, a professional singer, actress and TV presenter, was just two weeks' old when she took to the stage with her father, who entertained the crowds in Happy Valley from the 1960s.
Anna-Marie will take the audience on her journey through her childhood and how it inspired her own career in show business.
MOSTYN’s Jane Matthews said: “We’re really grateful to Anna-Marie, who was hugely entertaining at a previous event at MOSTYN, and to the Imperial Hotel, who are providing the venue for this event, for their support in helping us raise funds for the gallery.
This new showcase of Munro's mesmerising story follows a series of exhibitions focusing on the town’s history, with all proceeds from the event invested back into the MOSTYN’s community engagement programme.
The event takes place at the Imperial Hotel on Friday, April 20 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £7, call the gallery on 01492 868191. Booking is essential.
