The Phoenix Ladies group has raised more than £500 for the North West Blood Bikes.
The group held a fundraiser event on Saturday with residents, members and Blood Bike Volunteers attending the day.
Organiser of the event, Jacqueline Massy said a big thank you to everyone involved including business in the area who donated raffle prizes. Businesses involved included Nino's Cafe, Coast Cafe, Red 16 Cafe. MK One Hairdresser and Details Curtain Shop.
Blood Bike North West Group area rep representative, Gary Frost, thanked the group for their fundraising efforts and said without them the group would not be able to operate.
Blood Bikes is fully reliant on donation and the service sees riders transport items between hospitals at request.
Mr Frost added: "We carry everything from blood, plasma and medication to breast milk or equipment chemicals. Basically, if it fits on a bike we'll carry it."
