MARKS and Spencer will relocate from Mostyn Street to Parc Llandudno, regardless of the company’s plan to close outlets across the UK.
An M&S Spokesperson said: “We remain committed to relocating to Parc Llandudno to offer a bigger and better store, and we will update the community on plans and hold public consultation in the coming months. Our existing store on Mostyn Street remains open, offering our customers the best of M&S clothing, home and food.”
Outlining the need for the closure programme, details of which have yet to be announced the spokesman added: “We have been clear about M&S’s plans to accelerate our store closure programme and the action we must take to build a business with sustainable, profitable growth.”
The reassurance follows hard on the heels of the High Street turmoil caused last week by a leaked report of UK wide closures of Mothercare stores, including the Llandudno branch.
