CONWY’s new Mayor’s aspiration for her mayoral year is to give maximum support to community groups and local charities.
Cllr Samantha Cotton, who assumed office last week, said: “I want to work to support the community and local charities. My chosen charities for the coming year in office are TS Aberconwy, the Sea Cadet unit based in Deganwy, and Guide Dogs for the Blind.”
In addition to being a Conwy town councillor, she is also a Conwy County Borough councillor, and is employed as a case worker by Guto Bebb MP.
Samantha has been a town councillor since 2010 and county councillor since 2012. She was previously mayor of Conwy in 2013 so this is my second go at it.
Originally from Llandudno, she now lives in Deganwy. She is a former pupil of Loreto School and then Ysgol John Bright.
