SPORTING a new look, killer Pat Phelan made his return to Coronation Street last night.

Hiding out in a caravan in Abergele, fans of the soap were amazed as it was shown that Phelan (Connor McIntyre) - who survived a fall into the sea after a dramatic showdown with wife Eileen - was now hiding out at a caravan site in North Wales.

In Wednesday's episode, Eileen (Sue Cleaver) and Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) attended the police station after receiving prank phone calls from an unknown source.

It has already been revealed to viewers that the phone calls are being made by Faye Windass (Ellie Leach).

Eileen is told at the station that police officers don't believe that Phelan is alive.

A police officer tells Eileen: "There will always be cranks, the usual tip offs from crazies. He has been seen doing karaoke in a pub in Luton, he has been spotted in a pet shop in Hull and someone saw him in a public library in Abergele."

Viewers later see Phelan in a caravan. Speaking in a very Welsh accent, he is approached by a man 'Bryn' who says: "One whole week you have been here now, thought you said you were going to give me a hand to fix that disco light?"

Fans took to Twitter to voice their views about Phelan pitching up in Abergele.

Kyle Rickards wrote: "Pleased to see so many mentions of #Abergele in #Corrie last night, happy memories of that lovely place."

Dave L posted: "Phelan’s got a caravan in Abergele. Who says there’s no justice in the world #Corrie."

Sue Wormald added: "There’s no way Phelan can be holed up in Abergele, he’s got a flipping sun tan," whilst Michael Barnes said: "Phelan's in Abergele, boys and girls!! Call the police."
