Llandudno's Armed Forces Day will have a royal touch to it, with the Princess Royal set to attend.

It has been confirmed Princess Anne, daughter to Queen Elizabeth II, will attend the national event in Llandudno on Saturday, June 30.

Llandudno won the right to hold the 10th national Armed Forces Day celebrations in June, an event traditionally attended by a member of the Royal Family and the Prime Minister.

The event will consist of a week of activities including a flag-raising ceremony, Reserves’ Day, a gala dinner at Venue Cymru, and military parade on the main day.

The celebration is held as a thank you to the Royal Navy, Army, Royal Air Force and veterans.
