STAFF in the three Poundworld stores in North Wales are under the threat of losing their jobs.
The retailer is looking at closing as many as 100 of its 355 stores, and putting as many as 1,500 jobs at risk as part of a restructuring process while it seeks a buyer.
Poundworld has stores in Bangor, Colwyn Bay and Rhyl
It has been widely reported that the company has 10 working days to find a buyer, without which it will head into administration.
The list of stores facing the axe has not yet been published.
