A Llandudno-based micro-pub has made a big impression since its arrival in October 2017, being named CARMA's best newcomer of the year.

Tapps micro-pub was awarded the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) best newcomer of the Year 2018 award recently having made a big impact on the drinking scene in Llandudno.

CAMRA chairman, Ian Saunders, said: "The pub was a great addition to the drinking scene in Llandudno adding that the convivial atmosphere and fantastic range of real ales brought something new to the town.

"Real Ciders and Perries are also available at Tapps, in fact they recently held a cider festival which included no less than 36 different ciders and perries.

"Craft ale on tap as well as beer in bottles and cans round off a unique drinking experience in the town."

The award was accepted by Lloyd Gilliatt and Liam Williams on behalf of licensee Paul Guin. Both said they were thrilled to receive the accolade and were delighted so many other people shared in their great passion for beer.
