A man who was assaulted by two others at a Llandudno nightspot had to spend five days in hospital for treatment to his broken nose, a court heard.

Gareth Parry, prosecuting at Llandudno magistrates’ court, said the attack happened at the Boulevard Nightclub as proceedings were coming to and end on November 5 last year.

Jacob Davies and friends were on the dance floor when he was pushed by James Ouslem and then punched several times to the face.

Ouslem’s friend Luke Williams also became involved and Mr Davies was knocked to the floor.

He was taken to hospital with a severe nose bleed and although he went home he had to return to hospital because the bleeding would not stop.

Ouslem, aged 20, of Conway Road, Mochdre, and Williams, 23, of Wellington Road, Old Colwyn, both admitted assault causing actual bodily harm but Nia Dawson, defending, said the Mr Davies had been staggering around and had approached Ouslem.

Chairman John Rooney said that because of the seriousness of the injury and the fact that the assault occurred on licensed premises they should be sentenced at crown court. Both men were bailed to appear in Caernarfon on July 6.
