Former Voice contestant Tesni Jones is set to be joined by a Britain's Got Talent (BGT) finalist at her homecoming event in Colwyn Bay.

Fresh from his final performance on BGT Gruffydd Wyn will be joining Tesni along and other former Voice contestants at Theatr Colwyn on Saturday, June 23.

This will be the first time Tesni has performed in front of her home crowd since she was 17-year-old.

In an interview with the Pioneer earlier this year, she said: "I am so excited, the band is amazing, I have a big show planned and I just can't wait to come and perform in Theatr Colwyn.

"The most exciting thing about performing in Colwyn Bay is I get to perform in front of my family and friends. My parents haven't seen me live in over 10 years.

"This is going to be really special as I am getting to make a dream of mine come true."

Simon Davies, from Team Tom Jones 2018, and Rhi and Ant, Team Will.i.am 2018, along with POWERPLAY musical theatre company will be the other special guests on the night.

Gruffydd was the most recent addition to the show and Tesni said she was excited to have him perform in Colwyn Bay with her.

Tesni, on social media, said: "Absolutely over the moon to announce the wonderful golden buzzer star from this year’s Britain's Got Talent Gruffydd Wyn will be joining me as a very special guest at my homecoming show.

She started her career at Theatr Colwyn in a pantomime at the age of 17 and from there has just gone onwards and upwards.

She joined Welsh girl group Pheena at the age of 17 before coming a part of the Holland based group XYP who had five top-10 singles including a number one.

In 2007 she had her son Sean and took a step back from music. But has began slowly getting back into music in the past few years including a stint on the most recent series of The Voice.

Although she was knocked out in the battle round she said she was still able to learn a lot from the coaches and the other singers on the show.

Since then she has been in the studio writing, performing and recording songs, while organising a summer tour, which the Theatr Colwyn stop is a part of.

The show is set to showcase Tesni's developing vocals with some pop from her past - including some music from her days with Pheena, some rock, which she said has suited her more recently since her stint on The Voice and even a bit of soul.
