THE annual show of the North Wales Group of the N Gauge model railway society will be held in Llanrwst this weekend.

The society plans to have 15 layouts on display with several trade stands at Ysgol Porth y Felin. It will be open from 10.00am until 5.00pm on Saturday July 7, and 10.00am until 4.00pm on Sunday July 8.

The layouts encompass a range of themes including Welsh slate quarries, country branch lines, main line railways, depicting times past and present and also US and Continental railroads.

Half of the layouts on display have been constructed by the local group members and the remainder come from elsewhere in the UK.

The N Gauge Society is an organization with more than 6,000 members nationwide which promotes railway modelling in a scale which is half the size of the more common OO gauge.

The North Wales group meets twice monthly at St Michaels Church Hall, Conwy and has members throughout North Wales.
