THE Friends of Prince’s Green Park, Penrhyn Bay is holding a Summer Fun Day to help raise £10,000 to improve the park.
The day is built around a summer fete and a dog show which will be held in the park on Sunday July 15 from 12.00 noon until 4.00pm.
The chairman of the Friends of Prince’s Green Park, Cllr Carol Beard, said: “The park is in urgent need of improvement. The children’s play area needs new equipment, plus railings to fence it off to make it safer for children and prevent dogs fouling. The paths are uneven, and need to be resurfaced and widened.
"If we can raise around £10,000 we can apply for grants to fund the remaining costs of the improvements.
“A coffee morning and raffle to start the fundraising have already raised over £600."
