POLICE are appealing for help in tracing an escaped prisoner with links to the Colwyn Bay.

Darren Parry, 45, has not been seen since he absconded from HMP Kirkham on Wednesday, July 11.

He is described as 6ft, of medium build, with brown receding hair and a scar on his right hand.

He also has a cleft lip and a speech impediment.

Darren was jailed in December 2017 for domestic burglary and as well as North Wales has links to Lancashire and Bolton.

He sometimes uses the names Darren Edward Hackett and Andrew Mark Stapleton.

A spokeswoman for Lancashire Constabulary said: “We’re currently running an appeal to find Darren Parry, who has absconded from HMP Kirkham. We believe he has links to North Wales – Colwyn Bay/Conwy area.

“If you have seen him or have any information which could help us find him, please contact 101 quoting log 1552 of July 11th or email westintelunit@lancashire.pnn.police.uk.”
