Llandudno may be the home the UK's only lesbian festival has been looking for.

Bodaforn Fields played host to the eighth annual L-Fest event last month which saw thousands gather to enjoy a weekend of workshops, sports and live music.

More than 100 artists and bands performed across the weekend, headlined by Katrina Leskanich and Toyah Willcox, joined by late-night DJ sets and a brilliant silent disco to round out each day.

Festival founder and director, Cindy Edwards said all the feedback from the event and the L-Fest may have found a home for the event in Llandudno.

Ms Edwards said: "What can I say, in the eight years people have always loved the festival but this year more than ever people kept stopping me saying how wonderful the venue was, how lovely Llandudno is and how amazing the acts were.

"As with any new venue we already have new plans in place for next year to tweak it but all in all it was a fantastic weekend.

"This year saw a venue change after moving from Prestwold Hall Park in Leicestershire to Bodafon Farm in Llandudno.

"We are looking for somewhere that offers an atmosphere and location that will appeal across the whole L Fest family. From the young families looking for a place to relax and be surrounded by like-minded folks all the way through to the L Fest Solos who certainly showed everyone how to party.

"It’s very possible we may have found that gem of a location in North Wales."

This year's event also featured an inflatable obstacle course, an arts impression tent, a seaside dress up theme night and various other events.

Ms Edwards added: "We are all still smiling with pride at how amazing the weekend was and we hope to see you with us next year."
