IT IS planned that more than 250 MGs motor vehicles will converge on Llandudno to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of the Snowdon MG Run.

They will gather on the promenade, opposite the Queen’s Hotel early on Sunday August 19 for the start of the run.

Sylvia Armstrong, secretary of Llandudno MG Owners’ Club, said: “The cars will be flagged off at one minute intervals to embark on a scenic run of approximately 100 miles through Snowdonia.”

A coffee stop has been scheduled to be set up at Glan-y-Gors karting track on the A5 near Cerrigydrudion, and the run will finish at the community field in the centre of Betws-y-Coed.

She added: “Every car crew participating will receive a memorable goody bag and every 25th car finishing will be awarded a special prize.”
